Heide Hatry: SKIN at Goethe-Institut New York

Heide Hatry’s exhibition and book display how
the choice of skin as an art medium invokes an
utterly different aesthetic, as it demands to create,
or at least to alter, human form. Hatry’s work
explores questions of identity and how they relate
to the functions and perceptions of skin.

Heide Hatry, Heinz-Norbert Jocks, Lisa Paul
Steinfeld, Michael J. Amy and Renee Vara
will discuss questions of artists’ identity in the
ever-changing socio-political climate. Heide
Hatry will also present her new catalogue SKIN.
